Weathering

  • Wash - Flory Models Dark Dirt
  • Post shaded with enamel paints heavily thinned with enamel thinners.

1/48 Hasegawa A-4F Superfox (Skyhawk) "Cylon 3" VA-127


One from 2010. Again not as weathered as perhaps it should be. This was a pretty simple and quick build although I did fix the wings by removing  the step



 It is also the first model I have had published in a magazine, the Italian publication "Model Time" (issue 238)

  • Hasegawa A-4E/F with appropriate Superfox bits

Aftermarket

  • True Details seat
  • TACTS Pod was from the Hasegawa Weapons set.

Decals

  • Fightertown VA-127 "Cylons" Sheet

Paint

  • Main colours - Modelmaster Enamels as they were the only manufacturer with the correct colours
  • Gloss Coat - Tamiya Clear thinned with Mr Color levelling Thinner
  • Flat Coat -  Testors Dullcoate

Weathering

  •  Flory Sludge wash mixture of black and white
